Hajj is an important pilgrimage for every Muslim and for some it’s a once in a life time opportunity. Making sure you are fully prepped for the journey is crucial to ensuring a comfortable, smooth and blissful trip. At Sky Direct Travel, we have put together a simple checklist to help you prepare for your holy pilgrimage.

  1. Travel Documents
  • Ensure your passport has at least six months left before you travel.
  • Ensure you have arranged your Hajj visa and other travelling permits.
  • Make sure your flight tickets and accommodation have both been confirmed
  • Make a copy of any important documents such as your passport, visa and travel insurance
  1. Vaccinations and Healthcare
  • It is mandatory to have a valid Meningitis vaccination certificate for Hajj
  • Pack your medication along with a copy of your prescription for each one
  • A small First Aid kit
  • A bag of toiletries, including sunscreen

 

  1. Money
  • Saudi Riyals (Local currency)
  • Debit or Credit Card for any emergencies
  1. Clothing and other essentials
  • Ihram for men and modest clothing for women
  • Comfortable shoes or sandals for walking
  • Sunglasses
  • Hat
  • A small bag to carry your essentials
  • Mobile Phone with Roaming
  1. Religious Items
  • A small Qur’an
  • A book of Duas
  • A prayer mat
  • Tasbeeh (Prayer beads)
  1. Other recommendations
  • Lightweight sleeping bag or mat for Muzdalifah
  • A pocket guide for Hajj rituals
  • A contact number for your tour guide/group
  • A refillable water bottle to keep hydrated
  • Snacks for energy
